Giant killers produce giant killers
David may have been the one who killed the famous Goliath, but those who hung with him and followed him became like him, defeating giants and winning great battles.
You become who you follow, for better or worse. Want to be a giant killer? Hang out with giant Killers. Want to be humble, hang with humble people. Want to be angry or bitter, hang with angry bitter people. Want to be known as a gossip, hang with other people who live to gossip. Want to be a good father, husband, wife, mother? A smart businessman or leader? Follow the right people. Want to be a great man or woman of God? Be sure to know that the the person you’re ultimately following is following Jesus and becoming the kind of person you want to become also, that’s why Paul said, ‘follow me as I follow Christ’.
